Post 16 Provision
The Rosedale Hewens Academy Trust is committed to providing a comprehensive range of courses for Post 16 learners.
Students at De Salis have access to a variety of Level 3 pathways; either building on Level 2 vocational qualifications or pursuing more traditional A Level subjects including Mathematics, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Law or Languages.
Aside from the taught curriculum, the programme offered at De Salis has other significant differences including regular, relevant and high quality work placements. Working with our partners and other local organisations, Post 16 students either continue at their same placement, in a more advanced role within the organisation, or begin a new experience. For example, students can expect to spend up to 16 hours per week, or the equivalent of two full days, in the workplace, including access to paid work placements. It is envisaged that such placements will be organised for a minimum of a year, thereby allowing consistency and progression.
Post 16 learners must adhere to the business dress code by wearing plain suits or smart separates. All items must be of standard length and suitable for the workplace. A professional appearance is vitally important and learners are required to be excellent role models by acting in a mature and sensible manner at all times. Under no circumstances, will jeans or casual wear be permitted. The Principal has the discretion not to admit learners on a daily basis if their appearance is deemed as inappropriate.
