National Poetry Day
In celebration of National Poetry Day, students at De Salis Studio College embraced the power of words by creating their own original poetry. Students were tasked with crafting quatrains and rhyming couplets that reflected the diverse, aspirational, and inclusive culture of our college community. The results were both inspiring and thought-provoking.
From verses celebrating personal ambition to lines exploring identity and unity, our students captured the spirit of De Salis with creativity and confidence. The highlight of the day saw selected students share their work in a special college-wide reading, where they performed their poems in front of peers and staff. It was a proud moment that showcased not only their poetic talents but also their courage and passion for expression. National Poetry Day reminded us all that poetry is a powerful medium for reflection, connection, and celebration — values we hold close at De Salis Studio College.
