Day of Culture 16/11/20
On Friday 6th November, De Salis held its first Day of Culture. The students celebrated and explored a myriad of cultures represented in the De Salis family. The assembly was a fantastic opportunity for students to learn from their peers as well as to showcase the amazing talent that we have here at De Salis - from violinists and singers to Bollywood worthy dancers! Moreover, the year group forums offered the students a platform to introduce their classmates to their culture and traditions. A special well done to the Year 10 students who were greeting each other in Swahili not long after.
The students showed immense pride in their college and its diversity. We managed to raise £26 for the Anti-Hate Crime and Racism charity - Stand Against Racism and Inequality (SARI). Thank you to all staff and students who participated. I can gladly say that we are all looking forward to next year’s celebrations.
