Meet the Team

We are proud of our team of dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to support us in achieving our goals.  The Rosedale Hewens Academy Trust as sponsor, is responsible for a number of schools and colleges, including De Salis Studio College.  As part of its remit, the Trust continues to drive up standards, being fully committed to the further development of its provision for its stakeholders. The De Salis Studio College Local Advisory (Governing) Body (LAB) is therefore required to meet formally each term before reporting to the Academy Board as part of Governance Day, involving the Members and Directors. 

The LAB consists of community (co-opted) members, parents, guardians, carers and staff.  The skills sets, expertise and commitment of each individual are fundamental, as the LAB is critical to the work of De Salis Studio College and overall governance arrangements of the Trust. Accordingly, the De Salis Studio College LAB is made up as follows:

Paras Joshi brings a range of skills to the LAB from the commercial sector; leading a cross functional team of highly skilled professionals to deliver targeted results, leveraging on commercial strategy, marketing, partnership collaboration and business development experience across the airline travel, customer loyalty, consumer goods and services sectors. As a keen supporter of charity organisations with a focus on supporting children, Paras is passionate about enabling future generations to access the best opportunities and seeks contribute to the success of the College.

Heidi Faure

Heidi Faure is an accomplished leader with a proven track record of success. As a former Mathematics Teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator with a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Management, Heidi quickly moved into the role of Vice Principal at Rosedale, before being appointed as College Principal in January 2013.  She now overseas four secondary schools in her role of Executive Principal. As an advocate of clear targets and monitoring of progress, Heidi and the leadership team have continually secured fantastic outcomes for the students. As a former governor of a local primary school, she has an absolute understanding of the needs of the community and is resolute that the students should fulfil their potential.

As an IT Manager at BP, Stewart Duguid has first-hand experience of financial reporting requirements and risk management; he is qualified in both Business Continuity Management and also auditing management systems to ISO standards. With strong organisational skills, he has been highly successful in running his own business and also a diverse career with a number of multi-national organisations.  Using his project management skills, he has demonstrated his ability to deliver complex projects to budget and on time.  His business acumen will certainly benefit the work of the LAB as will his wider interest in rugby, both as a qualified referee and Level 2 coaching experience at Wasps.

Angela Codrington

As a parent of two children, one of whom is a student of De Salis, Angela Codrington supports the ethos of the College and is keen to witness its learners develop and grow from strength to strength; learning together and from each other, and businesses in the wider community.  With previous experience as a parent governor at an Inner London primary school, she finds governance extremely interesting and values the depth of insight in order to understand how the school functions.

Ali Warsama has a keen interest in governance with two boys attending secondary school.  Being part of school life, he is keen to support the staff to provide a good educational experience for all children.  Involved in education since 2002, having founded four schools in East Africa, Ali has since been working in the higher education sector as a curriculum coordinator and online educational researcher. This has led to active participation in a global network of online educators which allows him continue to learn about two of the things he is extremely passionate about, education and technology.
